The Arabic Language School Commenced its Graduation Ceremony for the Fifth Time

With the collaboration of the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students (NUEYS), National Union of Eritrean Women (NUEW) and National Confederation of Eritrean Workers (NCEW), the Arabic Language School, after providing training for several months, in front of officials and invited guests, graduated its students from different governmental ministries on Friday 4th of August at 3:00 p.m.

After beginning the ceremony with a moment of silence in memorial of our Martyrs, the director of the school: Mr. Ahmed Omer Sheikh gave an opening speech. In his speech, Mr. Ahmed briefly explained the background of the school and its current developments within the year. Mr. Ahmed proceeded by explaining that the school was established in partnership with various stakeholders (mentioned above) and had been providing training in different occasions. From the previous year, in establishments such as the ministry of Foreign Affairs, they have been able to find a platform to establish their own branch of training for their employees. Furthermore, in Semble Rehabilitation Prison, with help and support, the school has been able to provide training to the inmates. He then proceeded to explain on the establishment of “The Men and Women Students Arabic Club” that started on 1st of August 2023. At the end, Mr. Ahmed, congratulated the graduates and thanked the teachers for all their effort.

After the speech, the graduates performed a show that reflected what they had learned within their time in the school. Representing the graduates, Mr. Filimon Melake gave a speech. In his speech, after thanking NUEYS for providing the opportunity to them, he conveyed his message to the graduates to commit to taking what they have learned and work on constantly developing their knowledge and ability within the language.

Towards the end of the ceremony, NUEYS officials: Chairman of NUEYS Mr. Salih Ahmedin, Zakarias Andemariam (Head of Administration and Finance), Mr. Daniel Eyassu (Head of Foreign Affairs), Mrs. Mensura Ismael (Head of Zoba Sawa and Higher Institutions), Miss Helen Amine (Head of Regional Follow-up) and Mr. Ahmed Omer Sheikh (Director of the Arabic Language School) handed out certificates to the graduates. The ceremony was ended by the national anthem.

The Arabic Language School in five rounds has so far graduated 313 men and women students.
